My grandfather, David Roman, lost his battle with ALS in 2016. Like other families, we faced a long diagnosis and a relatively short fight with the disease. I have since joined the team at the ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter as the fundraising and marketing coordinator after getting to know the Chapter through the Walk to Defeat ALS program as a volunteer and participant. I want to continue fighting this battle on every front until we find a cure for this disease.

This year, I will be participating in virtual races of all kinds as a member of the newly formed Team Awesome Sauce -- and you're invited! Please consider taking a stand against ALS by joining me a a team member or donating to my page. Every dollar helps fight ALS via research, advocacy, education, and the free care service programs provided to hundreds of local individuals and families battling ALS right now.
