Virtual Caregiver Boot Camps

The ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter Caregiver Boot Camp program is designed to inform about the role of a caregiver, how to use common pieces of medical equipment, and provides an opportunity to ask questions to be prepared to assist a loved one living with ALS. Our professional Care Services Coordinators along with topic-related specialists will provide educational insights related to topics such as the role of a Caregiver, daily challenges, psychological aspects, mobility and accessibility needs, nutrition, respiratory care, and communication.

To prioritize the safety of our ALS Community, in 2023 we are offering virtual Caregiver Boot Camp experiences throughout the year. The webinars will include a live question and answer session,

If you have questions, please contact: Kellie Branch Dircks, MSW, LCSW, Care Services Coordinator, kellie@alsachicago.org or 312-932-0000.

To access the Boot Camp Resource List and Links, along with the PowerPoint slides, please visit our Dropbox folder using the password: bootcamp

After the presentation, please take a moment to fill out the program evaluation form.

Thank you to our sponsors that make the Caregiver Boot Camp program possible:
