ALS & FTD Support Group for Caregivers

Date:
Tuesday, August 10, 2021
Time:
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location:
Zoom Meeting
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a term used to describe a group of brain disorders which affect the frontal and temporal areas of the brain. These areas are generally responsible for personality, behavior, language, speech, and sometimes movement, depending on which areas of the brain are affected. Some symptoms of FTD can be detected in up to 50% of ALS patients. If your loved one with ALS has received a diagnosis of FTD, then we are here to support, guide, and provide you with information and advice on managing the daily challenges of this unique combination. For questions regarding the program, please reach out to Kellie Branch-Dircks, MSW, LCSW, at 309-696-7184 or kellie@alsachicago.org.
